Great Bustard

The queen of steppe birds is often seen here. On lonely flights or even in groups, from February onwards you can see the "bridal paradeā€. The females choose graze areas and gather in flocks. The natty males begin to swell their necks and carry out their show off acts, bristling their feathers, until they form a white ball. The male shows off because it is the female which picks up the partner. An unforgettable show!
